Leicestershire County Council and the Leicestershire & Rutland Heritage Forum celebrated the 2011 Heritage Awards at Snibston Discovery Museum on 21st July and we won

Award for Work with Children & Young People

The project gave over 500 children and young people the opportunity to learn about archaeology and heritage, and how this is interpreted and presented to the public.  It developed the Foundation’s understanding of the site through research undertaken with and by the young people, created new exhibitions and sculptures and provided the young people and volunteers involved with valuable transferable skills.
