The Foundation is an educational charity with a commitment to life-long learning.

Since 1959 the village primary school has been housed in the main building, managed by a separate board of Governors. 

The Foundation also hosts local pre-school Happy Hedgehogs and offers further learning opportunities through the Local History Café Group, museum visits and lectures.
